What Can $5 Do For You?

Posted on Feb 10th, 2017 | College

My favorite perk is cash, always cash. So when I earn $5 just for doing what I always do…you can count me IN.

Being a member of Purdue Federal Credit Union you can earn up to $60 each year when you use your debit card 30 or more times each month for purchases in stores or online.Oh, and you have to be enrolled in paperless statements.*

30 times a month may seem a little excessive, but it’s totally doable. Just the other day I stopped and got coffee on my way to work, met a friend for lunch, put gas in my car, picked up a few things at the store, and went on a late night ice cream run. In one day, I swiped my card at least 5 times.

Last month, I hit my 30 debit card transactions by the 25th of the month.

And, paperless statements – that’s a no brainer! I’ve moved three times in the last year and I can’t think of a better filing system for my statements, than safely inside my online banking account. Changing addresses (not to mention, identity theft) just plain blows.

And, now with an extra $5 in my account, I have to decide what to do with my money.

I COULD be responsible and save it, but this month I feel like buying something. You may be wondering what can you get for $5.
I headed to Amazon (my favorite place for EVERYTHING) and found some goodies for under $5… here are just a few.
This list could keep going and going, but you get the point.

What are you waiting for? Start using your debit card and get a little extra cash every month. OH, and head on over to our Facebook page for a little contest… See complete rules here
